The Lakhana Prapaisit Association was established in April 2023, in memory of the life and achievements of Lakhana Prapaisit.

 

Lakhana Prapaisit, Ph.D.

She was born December 18, 1960, Sadao, Songkhla.  Passed away on Feb. 14, 2023, in Bangkok, due to a painful illness.

Lakhana was as very extraordinary English professor. She was able to obtain fellowships and to obtain the highest degree in her field: Ph.D. in Teaching English as Second Language from the Michigan State University. She worked at Prince of Songkhla University and Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, with great success on teaching English as Second Language.

    • MA in TESOL, Department of English, Michigan State University, 1993-1995, East Lansing, Michigan, USA.
    • Ph.D. in English (TESOL), Department of English, Michigan State University, 1997-2003, East Lansing, Michigan, USA. Doctoral Thesis: “Changes in teaching English after the educational reform in Thailand”.

 Professional Life

    • Teacher of English and Masters at TESOL Prince of Songkhla University, 1990-2005, HatYai, Thailand.
    • Director of the Language Center, Cayetano Heredia University of Peru, August 2007 - June 2021, Lima, Peru.
